The Bagpipes have been in existence from the days of the Pharaohs in Egypt and can be found throughout Europe and the World in various guises.
Pipes have been used in Scotland for centuries as an integral part of the Highland Clan system and structure. The Piper was held in high esteem in the clan and could be found near the Clan Chief in battle. The pipes played clansmen to the battlefield, during the fight and home again. The fallen were remembered and tunes played to celebrate victory.
In modern times, Bagpipes are used to celebrate just about everything including, Weddings, Funerals, Burns Suppers, Dances, Parties, Birthdays, Hogmanay (New Year), Corporate Events and or just to have some fun.
